Fiji Adventure: 14 nights on November 2012

This 2 week long cruise will really allow you to experience a range of what the South Pacific has to offer, with stops at 3 separate island nations. Leaving from Sydney, relax with several days at sea and do as much as little as you like onboard the amazing Pacific Pearl. The first port that the cruise stops at is the capital city of New Caledonia, Noumea. This city is inhabited and influenced by both the native Kanak people and French colonists and immigrants, making it a unique tropical urban centre with a range of food and culture. Explorations could include a trip to the Tjibaou Cultural centre, or a ride on the Petit Train to see the sights of the city, or a bit of sunbathing on Anse Vata or one of the other beaches.

The next stop is Mystery Island, a tiny and uninhabited island in Vanuatu which is a secluded and unspoilt bit of south seas paradise. The ship then moves to the capital town of Vanuatu, Port Vila. This friendly port town is based around a natural harbour which is busy with fishing boats coming and going. A highlight of the town is the market which sells local handicrafts, produce and other goodies.

The ship then makes its way to Fiji, stopping first in Port Denarau which has some great beaches and tours to outer islands, then at the capital city, Suva. Suva is home to the University of the South Pacific, the Fiji Museum and some great colonial architecture. It is also a multicultural place with an interesting and bright waterfront market, so take some time to enjoy the city. The next stop is Dravuni Island, home to 200 fijian natives who will host you as you explore the volcanic island. Try a hike up the highest peak! The ship then returns to Sydney with one last stop at the beautiful Isle of Pines just off the coast of New Caledonia on the way.

The Pearl is up-to-date with the best features of P&O Australia's fleet: an outdoor circus arena, giant LED screen, specialty restaurant Luke Mangan's Salt Grill,  awesome new evening venues and more! There is lots to do- swimming, keeping fit with the gym, mini golf and fitness centre, chilling out in the loungers and spa, taking part in organised activities,. There's something special for both kids and adults- kids clubs catering to youngins and teens, and an adults-only 'Oasis' area at the stern of the ship. In the evenings there are multiple bars and lounges to attend, from a quiet pint in the Orient pub to a dance in the Dome, or a flutter in the Casino. Dining is great in the Waterfront restaurant, the casual buffet or the grill by the pool.
